Holy Spirit Religious Education

To those who care for the youth of Holy Spirit;

“Go and make disciples of all nations…” Holy Spirit Church, a community of faith and the people of God, continues the mission of Jesus, whose teaching comes to us from the apostles and their successors, the Bishop and our Pastors. We the Religious Education Staff are committed to providing a program of religious education to the youth of Holy Spirit Parish that teaches the Catholic Faith based on the words and mission of Jesus Christ and His Church.

We recognize the responsibility and obligation of parent and caregivers as the primary educators of the Faith and are here to support their efforts. Let us work together as a team: family, catechists, staff, and students to build God’s kingdom here and forever. May God Bless our efforts!

Sincerly, Religious Education Staff of Holy Spirit

Mrs. Val Whitney, Pre-K, Family Faith Formation, VBS

Miss Amy Nightingale, 6-12, Confirmation, Totus Tuus

Mark Nelson, 6-12 Youth Ministry

“Certainly one area in which the family has an irreplaceable role is that of Religious Education, which enables the family to grow as a ‘domestic church’. (Letter to Family 16)

“Since parents have conferred life on their children, they have a most solemn obligation to educate their offspring. Hence, Parents must be acknowledged as the first and formost educators of their Children.” (GE3)
